That DeuxMoi gossip that Leonardo DiCaprio is interested in dating someone slightly over the age of 25 may not be entirely fiction. Us Weekly reports that DiCaprio is trying to strike up a relationship with Gigi Hadid, who's 27 and a friend of his. But the desire to be more than pals isn't reciprocal, a source explained.
“Leo does have his sights set on Gigi, but she hasn’t shown an interest,” a source said. “They’re friends, but she doesn’t want to be romantic with [him] right now.” The source doubled down on her sentiment, adding that despite DiCaprio having his “sights” on her, Hadid “doesn’t have her sights on him.” Sorry, Leo. (It's worth noting that Hadid is good friends with DiCaprio's ex-girlfriend Blake Lively, who may have shared some stories from their brief time together.)
A source opened up more to Us about why DiCaprio’s four-year relationship with Camila Morrone petered out. “Leo and Camila just weren’t having fun anymore,” the source said. “The honeymoon phase was over and things faded out.”
Morrone has been photographed spending time with Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner in Los Angeles post-split. The two’s breakup was reported earlier this month, weeks after Morrone’s 25th birthday in June.
A “DiCaprio source” put it to Page Six bluntly: DiCaprio is not interested in dating anyone all that old or set on having something serious. “By the time girls reach 25, they’re looking for more—they’re looking to get married and settle down,” the source said. “That is not what Leo wants. He does not want a family and does not want to be around women who may press him for that. The minute a girl meets him, the clock is ticking. If she gets too old, in a couple of years, she is gone. If she gets too close, in a couple of years, she is gone.”
Hadid last publicly dated Zayn Malik, with whom she shares nearly 2-year-old daughter Khai. The couple broke up for good in October 2021, following Malik’s alleged dispute with her mother Yolanda Hadid.
